New Fabric for Serenity Harbor

I got some new fabric for Serenity Harbor today. My last piece was a little too blue and clashed with some of the green in the pattern, but I think this one will work out much better. This is Edinburgh in Mello from Picture This Plus. I was hoping for 40 ct, but I was going to have to wait a few weeks to special order it. This is 36 ct, which only gives me 2 inches on the top and bottom borders. It will be enough, though it's a little close for comfort.

I'm still waiting for the rest of my floss. I'm getting some silks, and the shop expects to ship them mid-January. I had some of the colors in cotton so I could do a floss toss and check the color, but I need the silk before I can get started.

  3. Love the fabric...tackling such a big project with silks seems crazy, but I bet that will make it so much more pretty in the end :D

    1. Ha ha, it means I can't buy anything else for my stash until at least the end of the summer... I started using silk on a few projects last year and fell in love with it!
