The photo below shows how it looked at the end of May, in my last update.

Dark Forces - August

Another month, another ten hours, and another % or so of progress on Dark Forces! Here they are at the end of July:

And after I filled in some blues and a lot of white on the helmet - added a total of 1,482 stitches which brought me from 22.7 to 23.8%!

Another month should bring me pretty close to a page finish, but I suspect it will be October before the page is actually done - those last couple stitches always take forever!

Magical Arrival, July 2020

April 30

August 2
I can't believe I skipped May and June. At least I didn't skip the stitching part lol. My goal for this year is to finish the row and the fill in on the row above.  Looks like I'm on track for that.

Dark Forces June

This month I had Dark Forces out pretty early for their ten hours of glory :) I was working on filling in the last stitches of page 6, which was somewhat confetti-y at times and thus slow going. I did, however, manage the planned page finish, plus a tiny start on page 7, for a total of 1.192 stitches.

Can't wait to get some more stitched in in July - page 7 is pretty block-y, so should stitch up reasonably fast!

Total progress so far:  29.717 stitches/21.58%

Mini's Indian peacock May 2020 update

Hi Stitchers,

Another month has gone by , can't believe half of 2020 will soon be over. Well, I'm sure we cant wait this year to pass...
So for May, I did a personal goal of stitching every day which I shared end of last month. I'm happy to report that I was stick to my goal for almost all days except 2 when I was too tired to stitch.
I added 3711 stitches, a combination of full and half cross stitches. Here is how the WIP looks like:

This is giving me hope that I can finish this project this year. I'm going to start a new project today so that I cant get bored of this one.

Hope you are staying safe and indoors wherever you are.
Happy Stitching

Fractal White Tiger May 2020 Update

1,070 stitches were added to my Charting Creations Fractal White Tiger in May.

This completed page 12, so 6 of 30 pages are done.

It sits sideways on my frame, so I am working a 2 page row from the top to the bottom of the chart. Pages 16 & 17 will be worked on next. They will reveal some whiskers and more of the tiger's nose.

This is how it looked in my last update.

The piece is now 23.08% complete.

Happy Stitching!

Dark Forces On The Rise

Yes, it's me - really! I know it's been a terribly long time. In fact, I think my last regular update - that actually showed progress - was in July 2015, when I had just finished the first row of the pattern.
Since then, I had only pulled it out a couple of times and made about hald a page worth of progress, so by the beginning of this year, Dark Force looked like this:

I'm doing a ten hour rotation this year, and earlier this month I decided to give Dark Force a turn as well. I stitched almost 1.500 stitches (giving up my per-column style since I switched to using Pattern Keeper) and now it looks like this:

I want to try and work on this for at least ten hours a month now. It would be lovely to have another row finish, but I'm not sure that'll work out this year so I'll be happy with just a couple pages of progress as well!

Total progress so far: 28448 stitches/20.66%

Fractal White Tiger April 2020 Update

Oops! I missed my March update on my Charting Creations Fractal White Tiger project. And I am a day late posting for April...

This is how it looked at the end of March.
342 stitches were added.
The project was 21.40% complete.

I apologize for the photo quality. I left it on the frame so I could finally finish Page 11.
This is how it looks now.
1,849 stitches were added in April.

I was able to spend some time on it the first weekend of the month and again near the end of the month.

It is still on the frame. Page 11 is done, and I hope to finish page 12 this weekend.

The project is 22.46% complete.

This is how it looked in my February update.

I hope you are all healthy and able to get some extra stitching in.

Hugs,
Renee

Mini's Indian peacock April 2020 update

Hello Stitchers,

Remember me? Indian lady who started a project named Indian peacock as part of new year new start in 2017.
I know I have not posted here since a long time, 2 years to be exact.
Well the reason is -I have hardly stitched on this project-3 days in 2019 and 17 days in 2018. I would certainly like to improve that and may be finish this project this year.
Without further ado, I show you my progress on the project. Here is at end of April 2020.I stitched on this for 10 days and added 1261 stitches in it.

Here it is when I picked it up. I'm trying to stitch color wise , trying to finish all stitches of colors I have started . One of the reasons I was neglecting this project was that I was finding it difficult to stitch it in Q-snap. Now , I'm trying to stitch it in hand, which explains the wrinkles in the top pic.

For the month of May, I'm doing a personal challenge called "Stitch Every 'Day' in 'May'". See the details on my blog here and join me if you like.

Happy stitching.

Fractal White Tiger February 2020 Update

In February I managed to add 723 stitches to my Charting Creations Fractal White Tiger

The project is now 21.21% complete.

This is how it looked in my last update. The nose area is slowly filling in.

For the past couple of years, I have had 3 full coverage projects going at the same time. This month, I finished one of those. (It may be seen here, if anyone is interested.)

So, I hope to have more progress to show on this beauty each month.

Happy Stitching!

Fractal White Tiger January 2020 Update

Wow. We've been a quiet group.

This month I finally gave my Charting Creations Fractal White Tiger project a bit of much needed attention.

371 stitches were added.

This is how it looked in my last update.

I tried the Pattern Keeper App for the first time. I had to find a YouTube video to figure out how to use it, but found the app very helpful.

I do hope you are all doing well and are able to find some stitching time soon.
