Renee's Fractal White Tiger February 2016 Update

After 2 months of progress on my Charting Creations "Fractal White Tiger" chart, featuring artwork by Ricky Barnard, I have 3,618 of 174,300 stitches completed. (My goal was at least 900 stitches a month, so I am happy with the progress!)

Last month, Dede asked if I could add a coin to the photo so you could have a better idea of the scale of this piece. All of the stitches in this photo fall within a 3 x 3 inch square.

The photo to the right shows my progress last month.

This month, I added 2,107 stitches.

I think this is one of my favorite cross-stitch projects to date. It does not look like a tiger yet, but I just love seeing all of the colors coming together.

February 2016 - Christmas Contest Suteki

Well, I didn't do so well in February. I only worked on Suteki for two weekends of the month due to finishing up rows on other WIPs. I left off last month here:

suteki008

And, after 83.63 hrs total, am now here: suteki012
I really wanted to have this row finished by the end of February, but oh well. Due to other commitments, I won't be stitching much on her in March or April either...looks like I'll have some making up to do in June!

February - Unspoken

I hope I am not posting this at the wrong time!

Here's my 'Unspoken' for this month - if you see the purple arrow at top right, that is the middle of the top row! :D :D :D  Only a couple stitches are there, but I'm still happy to have reached it :D

Tama

No progress.

Hello my darling friends! No progress here on January and February, sorry.
But I will be here on March.
See you letter!

February Update

Nada, zip, zero--no progress.  I have not picked up the needle and thread on my bap (His Eye is on the Sparrow).  I had several other things I worked on.  first our Kansas Stitcher group had a challenge to stitch something for Kansas Day --which was Jan. 29th.  I stitched a sunflower biscornu. Then I stitched for me! Started on my birthday (2nd)--something that has been in my to do pile for 5 or 6 years.  Fell in love with these little birdies and darn it --they have been calling for a long time.  So I heeded the siren song and got with it.  Valerie Pfeiffer Trios. I plan on taking it to the framers this week.  I also started a Black Bird Design--Christmas Garden.  I belong to a group on Facebook that loans out of print BBD patterns.I put my name on the list for this one and low and behold it was my turn!  Because it is a lone I am devoting all my stitching time to it.  I want to be able to pass in on quickly.  I pulled threads from my stash of Victorian Motto Sampler.  Working on 40 ct Picture This Plus "Doubloon".

We had a nice tease for spring--upper 70's on Saturday (20th). Was wonderful to spend time outside without winter clothes and gale force winds.  Just soo pleasant.  Back to 40's but that is OK cause spring isn't that far away! Daffodils are poking thru!

That is what I have been up to--lots of stitching!  Keep stitching!  Dede

Love with a Capital L January Progress

Hello!  Here is my January start on Love with a Capital L.  While I love how the colors work together in the border and decorative elements, I felt the pumpkin was too pale in the text (see Patient and Kind).  So I skipped around the chart, until I could find a better color.  And I skipped the big capital L (top left) because I want a highly variegated thread for that.  I am considering Caron Waterlilies "Hot Peppers".  Is anyone familiar with that colorway?
I'm happy with my new start; I worked on the first 3 pages though none are complete.  Eventually I did find a better color for the text: Gloriana Silk in Copper.  This will be a focus piece for February since it is all about Love.

I'm Back!

Hi everyone I'm back with another Paradise update!  I didn't post last month because we were told not to.  I was going to anyway but I forgot lol.  Anyway I've made a lot of progress after not much progress over the holidays.

Last time:

Now:

The colors are pretty true the first one was in daylight the second at night.  But in the two months I did about 4 1/2 pages.  The second pic is an official page finish with a bit of the next one.  See you all next month!
