I have a question. I have been needlepointing for a relatively short time. I am not familiar with having all the threads hanging down. If you have time, would you tell me what is going on? Thanks!!
It's called parking (at least that's the most common name). Since I stitch in rows, rather than one color at a time, after I finish with one color on a row, I "park" the thread in the next row down at the spot of that color's next stitch. I keep the needle in the thread; some people don't. There are videos on YouTube if you want to see it in action.

Speedy and lovely stitching! You've gotten quite a bit done in so few hours. :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat start and love that fabric.
ReplyDeleteLooking great though, and much neater than what I did - I wonder if stitching with two strandy was a mistake after all...

Very nice progress. I am so glad The Hubs didn't see this pattern...
