Progress :)

Hi guys I'm back!  I'm about 75% done with Paradise with 12 pages left.  6 of those are full pages. I'm doing these 3 pages a tad different and I'm doing all 3 together.

But here's the pics :)

This time:

So as you can see I finished 2 1/2 pages this month and am well on my way in the next section!

I'm really hoping I can get these 3 pages done this month.  Wish me luck thanks for stopping by!

Love with a Capital L April-May progress

Hi everyone.  It's been awhile!  The frog visited in April. The thread I bought for the big capital L, Silk n' Colors "Turkey Feathers" did not work out.
Previously:

Currently:

You can see the faint remains of the frogged stitches.  I was so upset after frogging, I had to set it aside.  But I did take it out a week later and stitched a new page.  Then, in May, I worked on it again.  I also spent some time charting a new section for the bottom, with my wedding details.
Honestly I'm at my wit's end with that capital L.  I want a variegated thread with the colors in the piece (dark red, orange, gold).  If you have any suggestions, please let me know.  Or I could just stitch it it with the crimson.

Holiday Blew By!

Wow how is it June?!  I meant to post yesterday but between work, Disneyland, a movie and a long drive home it didn't happen :D.

Not much progress on paradise (yet again) but this time it was because I stitched a page of another design for the HAED challenge so I did actually finish almost two pages.  But last time I was here:

Now I'm here:

Actually a tad farther but didn't get a pic. The end of the page is where the blue starts so I have about 3/4 done.  See you next time with hopefully more progress!

May 2016 - Christmas Contest Suteki

I apparently haven't stitched on Suteki since the end of March, and then not a lot. March was vacation month, April was The April A to Z Blogging Challenge, and I really have no excuse for May other than it's taken me a while to get my stitching mojo back. I left off here: suteki014
And worked on her approximately two hours on the 31st so that I'd have some progress to show: suteki015
I'm trying to get my routine back on track, but it hasn't been easy after so long a break, so I can't guarantee June will be much better, but I'm gonna try!

May 31st--- ALREADY?

My, my the days are whizzing by!  I have done some work on my piece.  9 1/2 motifs finished.  I know the corner deer isn't stitched yet--thinking I might put something smaller in that space and add my name and date there.  Just thinking about it.  I have been doing most of the stitching on this piece while we watch (I listen) to the KC Royals baseball games.  We started watching early last season and was so impressed with the team.  They show such great emotions--remind me of 11 year old boys when they are winning!  LOL.  A lot of joy in the way they play.  And haven't seen ANY diva antics from any of them.

I am keeping up with the Randje per Week.  I really do find a lot of pleasure in stitching the letters and numbers.  I think it will be a great piece to have for reference when I want to find an alphabet to use! Another 4 weeks and we will be 1/2 way done.

I hope you had a great Memorial Day!  We attended the small ceremonies at a couple of our local cemeteries.  Our oldest son and 2 of his daughters,my sister and one of her sons and his family.

Keep stitching!

Renee's Fractal White Tiger May Update

Over 2,000 stitches were added to my Charting Creations Fractal White Tiger cross-stitch (based on artwork by Ricky Barnard) this month.

This included a page finish - page 1 is done!

This was how it looked last month. (The colors in the first photo are more accurate.)

I am eager to finish page 2 and then move down to page 6 so I can see the blue eye appear.

8,042 of 174,3000 stitches have been added and the project is 4.61% complete.

If I meet my goal of adding 900 stitches a month, I will have over 5% of the stitching done with my June update.

Happy stitching, everyone!

Check in....

HI everyone how's it all going. I have been reading your posts on my email. I still have no want what so ever to stitch but I have been crocheting.
My fil has been really sick as of late and I need a vacation from work too. Going to take a week at the end of June and just have some fun with my son.
Just thought I would stop in and check up on you guys. So the stitchers that have not posted in a while let's hear from you and what you are up to.

Paradise :)

Hey everyone I still haven't made much progress.  My birthday was this month so I took a week vacation for it and I'm currently stitching for the HAED challenge on Facebook.  It's only a page though so it should be done soon and I can get back to paradise.  I'm 67% done and have 15 pages to go.

Now:

I thought I had more progress but oh well at least I reached the bottom of the column.  I'm itching to get back to it so that's a good sign.

See you all next time with hopefully another column finish!

Renee's Fractal White Tiger April Update

This month, I only managed to add 796 stitches to "Fractal White Tiger" from Charting Creations which is based upon artwork by Ricky Barnard.

I took it out of town and was SO excited to make great progress while my husband was in meetings, but I forgot to pack my floss... Luckily, I found some time the past 2 days to work on it.

5,954 of 174,300 stitches are done and the project is 3.42% complete.

This is how it looked last month. I hope to make more progress in May!

April, the month of shame

I did almost no stitching in April! All I managed to do was 1/2 a small card chart.

So Letting Go is right where I left her last month. I hope to get back on track in May.

April--I have progress!

I had no stitching on my piece for about 6 weeks or longer--hanging my head.  So at the beginning of April I was determined to get some stitches into His Eye.  I completed the border and it matched!!!!!  I was thrilled that I met up correctly.

Once I got that accomplished I went back to stitching on a few other projects.  I am currently working on a spool.  If you haven't seen them go look for them.  I had seen a fellow stitcher on facebook--she has bunches of old spools that she has made bands to put on the spools--so cute.  I have collected wooden thread spools for a long time...most come from my mom's stash.  None of my sisters do handwork nor sewing so I asked for them.  Anyway I plan to cover some of them.  I ordered a kit so that I could learn how to put them together.  The kit was released this spring from Milady's Needle " Rabbit Run".  I have it stitched just need to complete the edging then put it together. Here is a picture of Jancie Wright Greene's (a member of All About Smalls facebook grroup) spools.  I recognize several of these patterns from freebies.  No need to pitch those little strips of material!

I want to complete a little pillow for a Mother's day gift for one of my DIL.  I had made 3 little pin pillows from a freebie pattern several years ago.  One for 2 DIL's and for MIL.  So time to get one done for the latest new mother in the family. The heart buttons were some that my MIL had saved from baby cloths.

Hope you all are stitching away! I enjoy reading about your progress.  This month seems to have flown by....

Love with a Capital L March progress

This update is late, but I figured I'd better post before I work on it again for April.  I traveled in early April (for a stitchy retreat!) and the beginning of the month was crazy.  Previously:

Now:
I finished page 7 and started page 8.  At Keepsakes LNS in Cincinnati, I found something for the big capital L (at top left).  Next time, I'll see if that works out.
