Love with a Capital L Happy Dance!

Friends, I am so pleased to announce Love is finished, and before my anniversary too!  It's stitched 1 over 1 on 25 ct antique smoky white lugana with 3 colors of Gloriana silk floss- crimson, pumpkin, and copper.
Stitching the bottom section involved a lot of frogging!  I kept messing up on the spacing.  I even spot cleaned it, because I thought it looked dirty after all the handling / frogging.  All the motifs in the bottom were charted by me, though I took inspiration from stuff I found online.  The rose border and hearts with calla lilies: roses and callas were the main flowers at the my wedding.  The candles because we had a candelit ceremony.  The colors were my wedding colors.  Cupids- why not?

It was great to stitch along all year with you.... I hope this continues in 2017 as I'm planning to start a new full coverage next year- Winnie the Pooh II.

  1. Oh yay, congrats on finishing this, and just in time! It's great to finally see the whole thing, and it looks awesome with your little additions.
I'm looking forward to following you new project - that's one of the Thomas Kinkade Disney Dreams designs, right?

  2. It's beautiful. Congratulations on getting it done before your anniversary.

I haven't stitched much on my project this year. We have had several stressful and time consuming things this year.

I hope we are settled down a bit next year and I hope the site stays going as well, as I will definitely post more of my progress.

    1. Thank you! I have just ordered a frame for it, and I hope to have it wrapped under the tree for hubby Xmas morning. I'm trying to finish some stuff before the year ends... but then I'm doing guilt free January!
