Snowman Wisdom March update

I'm now at the half way mark of this project, but I have started ripping out the words and restitching them.  I have always done my lettering as long stitches, but after seeing the sample in my LNS I decided that I liked the way the words look backstitched instead of long stitched.  So far I have restitched  It's okay to be a little bit bottom heavy, .  I will continue working on the other lettering throughout the month of March.

The next 2 photos show my letters backstitched in the first sentence.  I think it looks better.

Snowman Wisdom February update

I finished the snowman.  Then continued working on the words ...
Don't get too much sun, and the yellow sun.
Everyone nose carrots are good for you with the orange bunch of carrots.
Be a jolly happy soul, with the snowman's head and pink hat.
I also did the some snowflakes.  Here is a what I have completed so far.  It has been a busy month at work getting ready for inventory (Feb 27).  Hopefully more stitching time in March.

Snowman Wisdom January update

I worked a lot on my project the first few weeks, but haven't had time lately because I'm working on another project that has a deadline in February.  Here is my progress photo for this month.

Snowman Wisdom by Sue Hillis

When I joined this SAL I didn't realize everyone else's BAP was going to be HAED.  My BAP will be Snowman Wisdom by Sue Hillis.  I will be stitching it twice if that counts, I won't feel offended please let me know if this is a big enough project.  I showed the chart to my friend Lisa yesterday, she loves snowmen and winter because she grew up in Alaska.  She used to cross stitch when she was younger, and appreciates the time and energy I put into each cross stitched gift I have given her.  She hinted that she would love it if I stitched her one at the same time as I stitch it for myself.  That is why I will be stitching it twice.

I will be stitching both pieces over 2 on 28ct Jobelan Babbling Brook.  I  will change a few colours to make them stand out on this blue background and to personalize the projects.  The chart says the stitch count is 118 stitches wide X 323 stitches high.

Today I will iron the fabric, then cut 2 pieces and attach them to the scroll frames.  I'm getting excited, I haven't stitched in about 2 weeks because I am a One-at-a-time stitcher and was waiting patiently to start Snowman Wisdom on January 1st.

Looking forward to seeing everyone else's progress throughout the year!
