January Update - Hummers

Hello all!

I've been LOVING seeing all of your progress this month! Figured it was about time I posted my own update. I was trying for a page finish this month, but you know what they say about the best laid plans... I'm still hoping to accomplish that goal by the end of the weekend.

So, this is where Hummers has progressed to this month.

A whole 6,799 stitches. 99% of which were confetti-packed! Still looks soooooo tiny when you look at the whole thing. Which is why I normally don't. Haha!

Rahenna's update - January

Well, not too much to show unfortunately, I got a bit worn out on all the confetti stitching in the border and put this aside for an older WIP after about a week. :)

Maybe next month will be better. :)

January Progress - Unspoken

Here is my progress, such as it is!

Still pretty much invisible, almost 1,000 stitches.  Hopefully, he will come up in my rotation more often in February.

Sarah's January Update

I'm still undecided what to do about my stitches so I thought I'd just post what I have and think about it over the next few days.
This is the first few stitches going in just after midnight on January 1st.

Here she is today, after 40 hours of stitching. Approximately 3400 stitches. The block of 400 on the right is obviously the ones I'm experimenting with LOL.

And just because I like looking at the completed chart.....

What a month

When I started Shakespearean Fantasy it went so well that I was SURE that I would have amazing progress to show for this month's check-in. You know that saying about plans? Yeah, that happened. I have done so little stitching this month that you would think I am in a major slump but life just completely got in the way of anything other than the fire that needed to be put out at the time. I do think that things will settle down enough in the coming days for me to have a proper stitch-in this weekend.

Here is what I was able to get done on Shakespearean Fantasy in the one session I had with it this month:

This is my first HAED (sort of, I started two on the same day) and I am still figuring out what works best for me. Right now I have a hybrid cross-country/parking/block thing going on. I started in the upper left corner and realized that there were a half dozen or so dark navy blue stitches on the otherwise solid black first page. Knowing me, I would have forgot them in the dulled senses that come with doing large blocks of one color so I did them first and then noticed that page two had a few more as did the first bit of page three. So I did them and then some black and then those greens you see on the bobbin, then some more black. I decided that I would do a length of color, then a length of black so that I wouldn't burn out on all that black (the entire piece uses 41 skeins).

Posting between 28th-31st Counted for end prize only

Ready to post? 2 days away, this is just a reminder.

Some of you have posted before the date I did not make too many rules on this blog because I hate those type of SALs but I am sticking to only counting those posts made between 28th and the 31st of the month.
If you are labeling (its on the right side when you are writing your entry) please tag it with Jan 28th too.
