Reptiles-March

The above is where I left off in February and below is my stitching for this month. Pitiful.
But, this blog makes me stitch a little each month instead of letting it sit in the basement. I may finish this before I hit 100!

Winnie the Pooh March Progress

Hello friends!  I restarted Winnie the Pooh II using a Candamar-DMC conversion.  The colors, and the coverage, are much better with the DMC.  I began at upper left, worked the first column down to the midline of the chart, feathering into the next column.  I also got a start on the 2nd column. This is tree, sky, and a bit of tree trunk.

I'm so happy with the look and I'm really enjoying the chart.  It has lots of color changes, but it's not confetti.   However, there is a problem: I spaced it wrong.  Now I don't have enough room at the bottom, I'll have to crop the last row.  That's not a huge deal and I'm not sure it's worth re-starting yet again.  I did sew some extra to the bottom to allow for scrolling and framing.  Any thoughts- should I crop or start over?

ETA: I did more counting and measuring.  The kit says 12" high.  The way I placed it, is for 12".  However, my gridding comes out larger, about 14".  The fabric, supposedly 28 count evenweave, is not!  It's 28 across, but only 24 down.  I am quite cheesed off!

I Caught Up!

hi everyone!  I know I'm a few days late but I'm happy to report I caught up with my SAL.  I haven't started this month yet but I was making progress with my other progress and wanted to finish a section before I posted.  So last post I had only finished part of January:
But now I've finished January and February:
March is a pretty blue but I might make some changes to the eye.  See you next month!

February 2017 - Happy Haunts

I left off here last month: Haunts006

And my heart really wasn't into this project this month because I only made it to here:

Haunts011
Better luck next month maybe!

Renee's Fractal White Tiger February 2017 Update

Late this evening, I put an hour and fifteen minutes in to this piece just so I would have progress to share. I have been itching to work on it, but other projects have demanded my small amount of crafty time this month.

Anyway... I did manage to add 175 stitches in that time, filling in around the eye a bit.

This is how it looked last month. I do hope to have more progress to share in my March update.

The pattern is Fractal White Tiger and it is artwork by Ricky Barnard charted by Charting Creations. Watching it come together is a joy.

I hope you are all able to find plenty of stitching time in March.
