No progress again

Once again I didn't work on my HAED. The shame of posting this should be enough to get me back at the frame.

April, the month of shame

I did almost no stitching in April! All I managed to do was 1/2 a small card chart.

So Letting Go is right where I left her last month. I hope to get back on track in May.

I worked hard on my HAED chart this month.

And now I'm here....

I'm so glad to finally be working on her. I know I still need to fill in some of the sky to the left, but it will get done sometime lol.

Sarah's Nov update

I didn't get as much done as I had hoped. Still spending all my time at the hospital. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

Sarah's Oct. Update

I got quite a bit done in October. Could have been more if I didn't get carried away stitching my other one, but still not bad.

Sarah's September Update

I got a little bit done in September.

Last month...

Then I added my new frame....

And now I'm here...... (Too bad the frame covers the stitches at the top. But I know they are still there. LOL.)
Everything below the ruler is new.

Sarah's August Update

I only made a little progress on my HAED. But I'm hoping that as soon as my new stitching frame gets here my needle will begin to fly.

Sarah's July update

I have very little progress to share, but the good news is that I'm stitching again! In fact still stitching for a couple more hours today.

All of these projects amaze me. I know we have all had our times of no-progress but it is just a hobby after all LOL. No need to stress. Everyone is doing a great job and we WILL eventually get them all done.

xxxx Happy stitching in August xxxx

Sarah's June update

I didn't get any new stitching done on Letting Go in June. The month just flew by in a flash! I was working on a few other projects so it wasn't a totally craftless month.

I have a four day weekend coming up for the 4th of July and all we have planned is to hang out at home. I am planning on getting some stitching done then.

Still the same.....

Sarah's May Update

I didn't get as much done as I wanted, but I did get all that frogging done! Now at least I'm headed in the right direction. I took it off my frame and tried stitching in hand for awhile. It is just so big and awkward.  I finished filling in the bottom section. This weekend I will start restitching the top.

May 28, 2015

I wanted to again thank our hostess for all her work on this group. I am enjoying watching everyone's projects come together. As we approach mid-year I am reminded that my New Year's goals were to be a lot farther along. I'm trying not to beat myself up about it and just keep stitching.

My first HAED (and my biggest chart ever) is proving to be quite the challenge! I'm starting to think I do a lot better with smalls, even though I absolutely LOVE all these big charts when then are done.

Thank you everyone who keeps checking in and offering encouragement. Your support has been my greatest stitching "gift".  I am determined to eventually get this one done... No matter how long it takes!

Sarah's April Update

Not a lot of progress in April, but some. I'm still frogging the top and that is where most of my time was spent. I added just a tiny few to the bottom section.

Sarah's April Theme

I don't have a lot of stitching gadgets. Oh there are several I'd like to have to be sure! But I usually just make do with the basics. So I guess my current favorite stitching item would be my floor frame. It makes the larger projects so much easier.

A few things on my wish list: a needle minder, a travel case of some sort, a magnetic board with place marker and a lamp (the bedside lamp just doesn't always do the job LOL).

Sarah's March Update

I didn't get much progress this month. No new stitches put in, but I did frog several more rows of the top. It is slow tedious work and I'm so scared that I'm going to put a hole in my fabric. Hopefully I will make better progress in April.

Sarah's March Theme

I don't have very many WIPs and that makes it easy to choose a favorite LOL. My HAED "Letting Go" for this group is my fav. I have just a couple others going and one is in the UFO category as I have packed it away for later. I just started a new one and I'm looking forward to it. I think all the colors in it will be a nice change from the dark colors I'm working with on my HAED.

Sarah's February update

Even though I wanted to get all of this page done this month and didn't, I am happy with my progress. I decided to go with the tent stitch and frogged about 600 stitches. I still need to take out the top few rows and redo them but I will save that for another day.

This page is close to being done (frogging excluded). My Husband wants me to leave the full stitches as a sign of my struggle and "growth" as I regain movement and control of my hand. My OCD says no way! LOL

Sarah's January Update

I'm still undecided what to do about my stitches so I thought I'd just post what I have and think about it over the next few days.
This is the first few stitches going in just after midnight on January 1st.

Here she is today, after 40 hours of stitching. Approximately 3400 stitches. The block of 400 on the right is obviously the ones I'm experimenting with LOL.

And just because I like looking at the completed chart.....

Love working on this

I almost  have the top row of page one complete! Yesterday and today have been full of stitches. I love the purples that are mixed in with the gray. It's been hard to put this down the past couple of days. Good thing I have Saturday and Sunday off too LOL.

Sarah's Slow Start

After a slow start (and lots of help from Tammy and Caitlin) I am now able to post my choice for the New Start 2015. I have chosen Letting Go by Zindy Nielson and it is my first HAED. I just checked my order status and it ships tomorrow!!!! I have asked for thread and fabric for my birthday (tomorrow) and Christmas so I should be all set to go January 1st.
