May 2016 - Christmas Contest Suteki

I apparently haven't stitched on Suteki since the end of March, and then not a lot. March was vacation month, April was The April A to Z Blogging Challenge, and I really have no excuse for May other than it's taken me a while to get my stitching mojo back. I left off here: suteki014
And worked on her approximately two hours on the 31st so that I'd have some progress to show: suteki015
I'm trying to get my routine back on track, but it hasn't been easy after so long a break, so I can't guarantee June will be much better, but I'm gonna try!

March 2016 - Christmas Contest Suteki

Thanks to vacation, it's kind of hard to tell where my progress is, but at least there is some (well, two nights worth to be exact, but every little bit counts, right?). I left off here: suteki012
And finished here for the month and I'm now at a total of 86.9 hrs: suteki014
April will be even worse due to the April A to Z Blogging Challenge, but things should be back to normal in May (unless I decide to work on vacation pictures, then another month will bite the dust).

February 2016 - Christmas Contest Suteki

Well, I didn't do so well in February. I only worked on Suteki for two weekends of the month due to finishing up rows on other WIPs. I left off last month here:

suteki008

And, after 83.63 hrs total, am now here: suteki012
I really wanted to have this row finished by the end of February, but oh well. Due to other commitments, I won't be stitching much on her in March or April either...looks like I'll have some making up to do in June!

January 2016 - Christmas Contest Suteki

I started the year with only one day's worth of work on Suteki: suteki001

I settled into a weekend rotation of her and I managed progress every weekend but the last of the month. She's been a pain, but she's moving along well, especially when I realized that the first row is probably going to be the absolute worst confetti-wise and it should get better (eventually). I finished the first page and most of the second, but they aren't full pages, so they don't really count:

She may not get quite as much attention in February since I have a lay-about project to finish up and a month before I go to Disney World, but I intend on at least finishing the second page.

Keiley's Introduction - Christmas Contest Suteki

Hiya everyone!   My good friend Heather is a member and thought this would be a great group for me.

As far as the personal stuff goes...I'm a mid 40's divorcee with a 5-year old Rescue Shih-Tzu named Bam and we live in Northeast Arkansas. I'm also an Asperger-diagnosed adult with OCD and Social Anxiety Disorder, which makes for a complicated life, but it's great for an overactive stitching mojo.  I pretty much spend every non-working/waking hour stitching (unless it's close to Disney World time, and then I'm completely absorbed in Disney planning).

I started the 2014 HAED Christmas Contest Suteki project on January 1, 2016 as a gift for my sister, along with two other new HAED starts. I'm stitching it on my preferred fabric, 28ct Monaco, 1x1 full stitches. I've only put one day's worth of work on it so far, but here is where I made it to:

I've got several other WIPs in progress, mostly HAED's, all of which are a lot easier than this one, even though most of them are twice/three-times as large. This one may be small, but the amount of dithering and confetti are a lot more than I am comfortable with, hence the needed motivation of a SAL group, especially since I want to finish it by the end of the year (if not sooner).

I'm looking forward to getting to see everyone's progress throughout 2016 and thanks for including me!
