December - Unspoken

I still barely got any more done.

I did decide to try something I saw... somewhere, I forgot!  To work in rows instead of columns.  Never did it before so I'm trying it out, although I fully intend to completely fill in the top row of two pages and then move on to the top row of the next two pages, not scatter stitches all the way across XD

Happy New Year!

Please Read!!-Admin

Hi Everyone Hope you had a GREAT Christmas!!!

I thought I would update all the members as to the results of my questions.....
So there will be some changes made to the blog over the next few days. This is what will take place.

1. Please email and confirm to me you would like to continue being a part of the blog, I need to update sidebars with members. Also check your name and picture if that is not what you are stitching please send me what to update it too.

2. I will be letting in a few more stitchers that have emailed me to replace leaving members (If there are stitchers reading and want to join please email me at nitestitcher@gmail.com)

3. the address of the blog won't change but I will change the title of the blog a bit

4. I am not putting a restriction on posting for this continuation because the fact that 1. everyone has been awesome to post and 2. with it being a continuing project I am going to let you decide.
--I AM STILL WANTING AT LEAST ONE POST A MONTH THOUGH PLEASE--
The reason for this is that the intention of this blog is to start a big project and finish so I still want to see that you are stitching on it once a month. Currently I am making up for lost time I will be posting my update soon.

5. The blog although is mainly geared towards our big projects, members can post about other projects and such, advice, tools, buys ect. Just make sure your clear its not your main project. I think it might make the blog a little more interesting. (If you don't agree let me know please)

6. If you do/have finished the big project (don't know if anyone has, if you have email me please) this year please let me know and if you want to start on another big project or on a WIP I can update the sidebar.

I don't think I forgot anything....Thanks for all the offers to help out. I am going to play it by ear and if I do need help I will message you. If you have any other suggestions for the blog please again let me know anything to make it better would be a good thing..

Happy Holidays and Happy 2016 to everyone thanks for being a part of this blog for the past year !!

Paradise Progress

Hello again everyone :)

Thanksgiving was fun but now it's time for progress on Paradise!

Last time I was here:

Now I'm here:

I finished that page and finished another 2 1/2 pages (almost 3).  And we finally have the sun!  I'm aiming to get to the halfway mark before the end of the year.  Actually past that as the next page goes about 15 lines past the middle.  Which is basically another 3-3 1/2 pages.  Wish me luck!

Sarah's Nov update

I didn't get as much done as I had hoped. Still spending all my time at the hospital. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

Nov 30 (sorry its sideways. I couldn't get it turned.)

Unspoken

I didn't get a lot done on my project this month, I am furiously finishing up Christmas gifts XD

Mostly some white, and mostly invisible.

Leonore's November Non-Progress

Again, I'm sticking to my plan of not putting a single stitch into Dark Force this month (I know, weird! But it's ap lan as well!). Instead, I finally finished a long overdue birthday present, and right now I'm working on four christmas gifts (one knitting, three stitching), strugling to get them all done in time - here's hoping, I have not given up yet!

See you all in December!

A Little More Progress

A little more progress this month. I am getting closer to finishing another page and I can't wait!  I really hope to get more done in between Christmas shopping and other festivities - I really do.

Here's to more getting done and Happy Stitching!!

Susan's November Progress

3,211.  That's how many stitches I put into Shakespearean Fantasy this month. I far surpassed the 400 stitches for the challenge on the HAED facebook page and finished a page. I found a rhythm, closer to a meditative state, while doing stitch after stitch of black and really started to enjoy it.  I have decided to continue doing a column at a time and just let the colors come as they may.

Here's where I was last month:

and here's where it is today:

It looks like a lot in this picture, but I know when I take it off the scroll rods it will look like a speck so I have decided to keep it on the scroll rods and only have a couple of rows of pages showing.

My plan for the next month is to keep working along on page 2 and maybe be close to a page finish by the next check in.

November Update on my big project

I looked at calendar and duh--it is the 28th already!  We enjoyed out family Thanksgiving yesterday (Friday).  We had icy roads but the state road crews kept at it and they were OK (as long as you took your time).  Thankful that we have those crews to take care of the highways and that the kids made it here and back to their homes without incident.

I managed to finish a page  and 1/2 of another on my pattern this month.  Think I will spend today sewing in between a few chores.  One benefit of having a family gathering is you get everything done and you can relax a few days after it is all over! And we have plenty of food for a few days.

Hope you all had a great holiday!  Our family will have another addition on the 4th. Another grandson is making an appearance. I will have my hands full as I will be taking care of his 1 1/2 year old brother for a few days. I am including a picture of our kids and the grands too.

Keep stitching!

Halloween Cuties!

Since we live in a rural area (altho we live on a highway) we don't get any trick or treaters except for family.  Our grand daughters were off to Platte City, MO to stay with the other grandparents and help hand out candy there. I have a picture of the youngest grand daughter during the elementary parade town main street (Jojo was home sick.).  So I pulled a picture off face book that their grandmother had posted.  The little tricksters we had were all great nephews of mine that live in the area.  They get a lot of candy just from the great Aunts that they don't have to go to town to walk the streets.  LOL

 GD Rebekah--3rd grade
Their cousin Kaleb, Victoria-13 , Jojo --11, and Rebekah
 Great nephew Ryan age 1
 Great Nephews Jackson-7 and Jacob-2
 Great Nephew Elias--almost 2 years
Elias's big brothers August 5 and Ashton 7
 Grandson Kale-1 and Mom
And our world traveler Adam-3.  They didn't dress him up as still suffering from jet lag that night!

Here is the finished framed project that I worked on in September.

Happy Stitching!

October Paradise

See you next month!  Oh and here's my theme pic:

Got a tiny bit started on page two, as well.

Linda's Cinderella's Castle

My Holy Mac and Cheese moment.  I decided at the beginning of the month to do an hour's worth of stitching a day on Cinderella's Castle.  That lasted about 4 days and I started getting behind.  Then I was sick for a couple of weeks so I had to stitch 3 or 4 hours some days to catch up.  BUT, I did it.
3,448 stitches.

Sarah's Oct. Update

I got quite a bit done in October. Could have been more if I didn't get carried away stitching my other one, but still not bad.

 On September 30th....

On October 30th...

October Non-Update

Just a super-quick checkin to show you I'm still alive and stitching...just not on Dark Force. We don't seem to have much of a theme for this month as well (apart from Halloween, which we don't really celebrate around here), so I'm not sure what to write about...so I'm hoping you're all well and to see some nice stitchy updates from you instead!

October's Progress

Well, I haven't done too much on this but I know that any progress is good.  I hope I can get more done in November with the weather getting colder and staying inside more. I really want to get more shown on the Emerald City and maybe start another page.

Happy stitching!
Trina

The end of October already???!!!!!

Wow this month has zoomed by!  I am happy to say I have spent most of my time stitching on Sparrow.  Next month will be another story as I prepare for Thanksgiving and Christmas. On a side note our son and his family return today from Italy after a 10 month stay.  So excited to see them!

I managed to complete another page.  Yes, I put 2016 as the finish date as I know I won't get it all stitched this year unless the house fairy comes to clean, decorate and cook for the holidays.  It helps that the Kansas City Royals had an extra long first game in the World Series this week (14 innings!).  We stayed up to watch it all and I stitched all thru it.  Replays are wonderful!  What I miss while stitching gets played again and sometimes again.  LOL

I finished the words across the piece and also the border to the words.  I plan on filling the empty space with the motifs next.
Happy stitching and Happy Halloween!

Susan's October Stitching

Black, black, and more black.  That has been the story of Shakespearean Fantasy the last month.  I finished almost two full columns and have two and a bit left and I will have a page finish!  It was here at the last check-in:

 and today it is here:
I have joined a challenge on the HAED facebook page to stitch 100 (or more) stitches a week for the next month. I am hoping to actually finish this page.  Once I do, I will start working on some colors as a reward.

October.

This month I stitch almost every night.

I live in Brazil and we don't celebrate Halloween like in Canada or USA for example. But in schools of English has some party with students at school (inside school, never in the street). I LOVE to stitch Halloween patterns. I LOVE Halloween. I LOVE English school. I have had study English when I was younger. But don´t laugh about my English. It is not good how I would like.

I don't have a costume to dressing up for Halloween but I have a Halloween tree with many cross stitch finishes. Can I post my Halloween tree in 1st november?

It's Almost Paradise

Hello again!  Yet another month has gone by I can't believe the end of the year is almost here.  Where has time gone?  I'm excited for fall though.  My last two days have been spent outside enjoying the cooler weather.  I'm living in SoCal now so it won't get very cold but it's still nice not to sweat my booty off lol.

Well last month I was here:

And now I'm here:

Almost another page done.  If I wasn't so busy job hunting I'd have more done.  My deadline for this got way out of control and I'm hoping to have it done for their first anniversary.  Have fun with all of your projects!
