Mini's January update

Hello Friends,

Its time for a monthly update. I'm very happy with my progress on this project , I think I have completed 15% of the total stitches. I worked on the top left corner of the pattern.

I have fallen in love with this project and its hard to put it down. However it's time to pick my second WIP for Focus Finish February as part of  Theme-tas-stitch 2017 SAL. Don't know what I'm talking about , head over to Kerry's blog for details .

When I started this project , I had few apprehensions after reading about stitcher's trouble with kits- how the floss is bad, how they ran out of floss, the aida is of poor quality.

So far I don't have any complaints with this Dimensions kit, being a newbie stitcher with limited stash it helps when the fabric and floss is provided  . I may be weird but I like working on stiff aida as it helps to keep my stitches neat.I'm also enjoying working with first time with blended threads and variety of half stitches and how fast the half crosses stitch.

Will see you in March when I will pick this piece again for stitching.

Have a great February.

  1. Great start! That flower looks great even without the backstitching.
I kind of like working from kits as well. The quality is sometimes not as good as when I buy supplies separately, but it was never so bad that I had to stop, and I still enjoy the comfort of getting everything at once.

  3. Beautiful process! FWIW, I've never had an issue with the floss in Dinensions Gold kits. It may not be DMC, but the quality is just as good IMO.

  5. Fabulous progress and I've had issues with Dimensions kits in the past, but they have always sent me missing floss for free, so I wouldn't worry too much about it!

  6. Beautiful progress! I love the dimensions kits but they're the only kind I've done (kits at least) so I might be biased
