Renee's Fractal White Tiger April Update

This month, I only managed to add 796 stitches to "Fractal White Tiger" from Charting Creations which is based upon artwork by Ricky Barnard.

I took it out of town and was SO excited to make great progress while my husband was in meetings, but I forgot to pack my floss... Luckily, I found some time the past 2 days to work on it.

5,954 of 174,300 stitches are done and the project is 3.42% complete.

This is how it looked last month. I hope to make more progress in May!

April, the month of shame

I did almost no stitching in April! All I managed to do was 1/2 a small card chart.

So Letting Go is right where I left her last month. I hope to get back on track in May.

April--I have progress!

I had no stitching on my piece for about 6 weeks or longer--hanging my head.  So at the beginning of April I was determined to get some stitches into His Eye.  I completed the border and it matched!!!!!  I was thrilled that I met up correctly.

Once I got that accomplished I went back to stitching on a few other projects.  I am currently working on a spool.  If you haven't seen them go look for them.  I had seen a fellow stitcher on facebook--she has bunches of old spools that she has made bands to put on the spools--so cute.  I have collected wooden thread spools for a long time...most come from my mom's stash.  None of my sisters do handwork nor sewing so I asked for them.  Anyway I plan to cover some of them.  I ordered a kit so that I could learn how to put them together.  The kit was released this spring from Milady's Needle " Rabbit Run".  I have it stitched just need to complete the edging then put it together. Here is a picture of Jancie Wright Greene's (a member of All About Smalls facebook grroup) spools.  I recognize several of these patterns from freebies.  No need to pitch those little strips of material!

I want to complete a little pillow for a Mother's day gift for one of my DIL.  I had made 3 little pin pillows from a freebie pattern several years ago.  One for 2 DIL's and for MIL.  So time to get one done for the latest new mother in the family. The heart buttons were some that my MIL had saved from baby cloths.

Hope you all are stitching away! I enjoy reading about your progress.  This month seems to have flown by....

Love with a Capital L March progress

This update is late, but I figured I'd better post before I work on it again for April.  I traveled in early April (for a stitchy retreat!) and the beginning of the month was crazy.  Previously:

Now:
I finished page 7 and started page 8.  At Keepsakes LNS in Cincinnati, I found something for the big capital L (at top left).  Next time, I'll see if that works out.

March progress--none.

I didn't touch my project all month.  I was working on BBD Christmas Garden.  Yesterday I did pick it up and put about 100 stitches in it.  Hoping I can do more soon.  Will have to start working outside to keep weeds at bay in the flower garden.
Keep stitching!

Not a Ton of Progress but Some :)

Renee's Fractal White Tiger March 2016 Update

Here is my 3 month update on the Charting Creations "Fractal White Tiger" chart, featuring artwork by Ricky Barnard, I have 5,158 of 174,300 stitches completed. (My goal was at least 900 stitches a month, so I am 2,458 stitches ahead.)

Here is how it looked last month. (The colors are more true to life in this photo.)

Although it does not look like a tiger yet, I just love the way the colors are coming to life on the fabric. I caught a view of it from across the room and have no doubt it is going to be incredibly impressive when it is done.

March - Letting Go update

I worked hard on my HAED chart this month.

Feb 29, 2016

And now I'm here....

March 28, 2016

I'm so glad to finally be working on her. I know I still need to fill in some of the sky to the left, but it will get done sometime lol.

March 2016 - Christmas Contest Suteki

Thanks to vacation, it's kind of hard to tell where my progress is, but at least there is some (well, two nights worth to be exact, but every little bit counts, right?). I left off here: suteki012
And finished here for the month and I'm now at a total of 86.9 hrs: suteki014
April will be even worse due to the April A to Z Blogging Challenge, but things should be back to normal in May (unless I decide to work on vacation pictures, then another month will bite the dust).

Love with a Capital L February progress

Hi, BAP stitchers!  "Love" was my focus project for February; why not, given the subject matter?  So I did work on it quite a lot.  I have 3 colors in play now- all Gloriana Silk- crimson (main), pumpkin (border and motifs), and copper (second color in the text).  I am happy with these choices but I still need something more variegated for the big capital L that will be at the top left.
Previous progress:

Currently:
In March I will try to finish the berry vine band (work across to the right side) and work on the next page.    Honestly, I got pretty tired of this project in February, so I don't expect to make as much progress in March.  I do want to finish this year, however.

Yay Leap Day!

I needed this extra day to get as much stitching in as possible.  I definitely have slacked off a bit this month as I only got 2 pages done.  Part of the problem is I've been working out pretty consistently and another part is that I've had a couple of nights where I've been too busy to stitch and to top it off I'm moving this week and it took a lot of time to shop for a new apartment.

But here's what I have so far.  Last time:

Now:

My goal for next month is smaller because if moving but my goal is to finish  this set of pages which is basically 2-1/2.  April won't go well either because of my birthday but we'll climb that mountain when we come to it :).

Renee's Fractal White Tiger February 2016 Update

After 2 months of progress on my Charting Creations "Fractal White Tiger" chart, featuring artwork by Ricky Barnard, I have 3,618 of 174,300 stitches completed. (My goal was at least 900 stitches a month, so I am happy with the progress!)

Last month, Dede asked if I could add a coin to the photo so you could have a better idea of the scale of this piece. All of the stitches in this photo fall within a 3 x 3 inch square.

The photo to the right shows my progress last month.

This month, I added 2,107 stitches.

I think this is one of my favorite cross-stitch projects to date. It does not look like a tiger yet, but I just love seeing all of the colors coming together.

February 2016 - Christmas Contest Suteki

Well, I didn't do so well in February. I only worked on Suteki for two weekends of the month due to finishing up rows on other WIPs. I left off last month here:

suteki008

And, after 83.63 hrs total, am now here: suteki012
I really wanted to have this row finished by the end of February, but oh well. Due to other commitments, I won't be stitching much on her in March or April either...looks like I'll have some making up to do in June!

February - Unspoken

I hope I am not posting this at the wrong time!

Here's my 'Unspoken' for this month - if you see the purple arrow at top right, that is the middle of the top row! :D :D :D  Only a couple stitches are there, but I'm still happy to have reached it :D
