Renee's Fractal White Tiger December Update
This month, I added 1,168 stitches to my Charting Creations Fractal White Tiger based on artwork by Ricky Barnard.
My goal this year was 10,800 stitches (900 stitches per month) and I surpassed that with 13, 914 stitches.
Page 1 was finished on May 22, 2016 and Page 2 was completed December 30, 2016. I am SO excited to move down to reveal one of the eyes next.
This is how it looked last month.
I can barely wait to see it in December of 2017.
Tammy, thank you for adding me to the group last year! Life threw a few curve balls this year that demanded my time. So, there were times I would not have picked this up without the motivation to share at least a bit of progress by the end of the month.
I hope you all have a wonderful New Year! I look forward to following your progress. -Renee

Eek I Suck!
Hey everyone I know it's been a while. My only excuse is that I've been on vacation at the end of every month for the past 3 months. But I'm excited to say I have a finish to show! Finally! I finished it 10/15 and got it framed and sent about a week and a half later. I haven't seen it hanging yet but I know the recipient has gotten it safe and sound and was really excited.
Here is Paradise after it was finished:
Sorry for the really bad glare. But I promise it's pretty in person :)
I framed it myself in a floating picture frame that I had to engineer. Basically the way the frame worked was that it had the frame, a piece of glass, another piece of glass and then a smaller wood frame that fit inside the first to help sandwich the two pieces of glass together to hold the pics in place. In order to make it work I cut the foam board so that it fit snugly inside of the smaller wooden frame. Then I switched the order so that it was: frame, glass, smaller frame with the cross stitch inside, and then other piece of glass. I stretched the fabric on the foam core board and pinned it in place but I didn't lace it because the fabric was large enough to just fold over the back and since it was a clear back I wanted it to look nice.
I hope that makes sense :)
As for this blog I'm not really sure what I want to do next. I've already started 2 other projects but I don't know if I'm going to start another one on the 1st or not. I guess we'll see how this blog is going to work next year :)
Thanks everyone for sticking with me on my journey!

Renee's Fractal White Tiger November Update
This November, I added 563 stitches to my Charting Creations Fractal White Tiger cross-stitch.
This page feels SO close to being done. I would love to finish it by my next update.
The lighting is making it difficult to get a good picture - the colors are more true in last month's photo below.
This was last month's progress. The white I added along the bottom of page 2 is difficult to see in the photos.
More stripes will be visible in my next update - making the progress easier to spot.
I wish you some relaxing stitching time this next month.

Look what I found
I know I haven't stitched much on this all year, but it recently found it's way back to the front. I've added just little bit to my HAED, Letting Go by Zindy Nielson.
I hope to get back in the full swing of things in 2017.

Love with a Capital L Happy Dance!
Friends, I am so pleased to announce Love is finished, and before my anniversary too! It's stitched 1 over 1 on 25 ct antique smoky white lugana with 3 colors of Gloriana silk floss- crimson, pumpkin, and copper.
Stitching the bottom section involved a lot of frogging! I kept messing up on the spacing. I even spot cleaned it, because I thought it looked dirty after all the handling / frogging. All the motifs in the bottom were charted by me, though I took inspiration from stuff I found online. The rose border and hearts with calla lilies: roses and callas were the main flowers at the my wedding. The candles because we had a candelit ceremony. The colors were my wedding colors. Cupids- why not?
It was great to stitch along all year with you.... I hope this continues in 2017 as I'm planning to start a new full coverage next year- Winnie the Pooh II.

Renee's Fractal White Tiger October Update
I spent less than four hours on my Charting Creations Fractal White Tiger cross-stitch this month. The chart is based on artwork by Ricky Barnard.
Thanks to some large blocks of color, I still managed to add 456 stitches.
This is how it looked last month.
The color in the top photo is more accurate.
I love working on this piece.

Love with a Capital L September progress
Hi, everyone! At last my piece is coming together and I'm starting to feel excited about it. I finally reached the bottom border and made good progress on the personalization section. I also did some research looking for a mini cupid motif and I found a Brooke's Books' freebie, that may work, with a little tweaking.
Previous progress:
Now:
I did try Valdani "Terra Cotta" for the big capital L and wound up frogging it. I suppose I am terribly picky, but I felt it looked "muddy". So, I finally decided I will stitch that section with the crimson (main color), and I will try to complete the top left corner this month, plus a bit more if time allows.

Renee's Fractal White Tiger September Update
I almost met my 900 stitches per month goal on my Charting Creations Fractal White Tiger cross-stitch this month. It is based on artwork by Ricky Barnard.
I really love watching this one come together! This is how it looked last month.
Wishing you all wonderful stitching time in October!

September --no progress
I haven't picked it up this month. I have kept up with my Randje per Week alphabet. And I have a Quaker SAL I am working on. So there was stitching. Eye is just to big to take anywhere. One of my sisters (I have 4) had open heart surgery for 3 bypasses unexpectedly. Went home to recoup and got pneumonia. She is finally starting her cardiac rehab this next week(4 weeks post op). She has finally turned the corner and should progress quickly. I have stayed with her quite a bit so her husband can get out and do his chores and farm work. They just started corn harvest last week. She is finally able to get up out of a chair with out help.
Hope to have a picture next month with a lot more done!

Love with a Capital L August progess
Hello! August was a great stitchy month for me, made lots of progress during the Olympics, with the SAL event on Stitch Maynia (Facebook group). I also visited a LNS and picked up some variegated cotton thread for the big capital L at top left (Valdani "terra cotta").... haven't tried it yet though.
Previous progress:
Now:
I finished page 12 and set up my personalization section at the bottom, including some of the left border. After I placed the first letter of each line (they are centered), I realized a few extra motifs would help fill out the space. Some people commented on my Flosstube video and offered suggestions: entwined wedding rings and cupid with an arrow- I like both. Does anyone have recommendations for books with sampler motifs? I am looking forward to working on this project next weekend... maybe I'll try the Valdani thread.

Wow I'm Late!
Ha I totally didn't realize it was the end of the month lol. I'm still chugging along and I'm hoping to finish soon.
Here's last month:
And now:
I decided to do all 9 pages at once so no page finished but I "think" I've made good progress? It's hard to tell. I'm still hoping for the end of September but don't think I'll make it. I have a cruise coming up which will eat up time. But I'll get there!

August Updatej
No picture today. I am a day late. Sorry. Just been too busy and the month has slipped by! Family health issues have taken up most of my time. I have 4 sisters and a brother. Sister #2 had a knee replacement end of June with heart complications. Three of us took turns staying with her for a couple weeks at home. Just got her back on her feet and allowed to drive and sister #3 had news on the Aaugust 26th she was having triple bypass on the 29th! So past couple days have been spent at hospital. She is doing great but has a few more days in the hospital. I will be spending tomorrow with her.
I only got a few stitches in my BAP. I did however finally get caught up with my Randje per Week. Some days there is just not enough time to stitch or the desire! Hope you all are having better luck than I! Here's to a September with lots of stitching for everyone!

Renee's Fractal White Tiger August Update
My stitching time has been seriously limited this summer. I only managed to add 554 stitches to my Charting Creations Fractal White Tiger cross-stitch (based on artwork by Ricky Barnard.)
A lot of the stitches were lighter colors, so the progress is difficult to notice. This is how it looked last month.
10,926 of 174,300 stitches are done and the project is 6.27% complete.
I hope to have more progress to share next month.
Wishing you all happy stitching!

Love with a Capital L July progress
Hello, BAP stitchers! July was a weird month for me. I traveled and lost my stitchy mojo; recovered my mojo and got sick. I'm still not 100%. But I did work on Love. Page 11 is finished and 12 was started. I also got some graph paper and charted my "personalized" section.
I'm hoping for a finish by November 19 (wedding anniversary). Happy stitching everyone!

So Frustrating!
Hey guys I'm here with almost another 3 pages finished. I have one done but couldn't quite whip out the other two. I would have had it done but last weekend we were out of town for a wedding and this weekend hubby wanted to go out and do stuff all weekend.
But I'm super close and will finish both pages tomorrow.
Here's where I was last time:
Here's where I am now:
As you can see I just have a tad in the middle and at the very bottom.
I have 9 pages left and only 4 whole pages. I'm still debating but I think I'll do another set of 3 pages like I did this time and then the rest of them all together. Either that or I'll do them all in one big set. Pretty sure 2 sections though. Either way I'm getting there! I'm really aiming for the end of September.
Renee's Fractal White Tiger July Update
This month, I added 1,145 stitches to my Charting Creations Fractal White Tiger cross stitch based on artwork by Ricky Barnard.
I surpassed my goal of 900 stitches per month again and finally passed the 10,000 stitches mark.
This photo shows my update last month.
(The colors in this photo are more true. My camera and lighting this evening did not want to play nice.)
10,372 of 174,300 stitches are done and the project is 5.95% complete.
Next month will be busy, so I hope to have progress to share.
I still love working on this one!

July Progress
Just a bit of progress. I was able to stitch a pot with flowers and a start on the tree. July was so busy and August is starting that way too. I have barely kept up with my Randje per Week and finished my spool project. Our county fair starts on Tuesday so will be entering it and a couple other items. Hope you all have had more time to stitch!
Keep stitching!

June Whizzed By!!!
Who where did the month of June go? It disappeared very fast!
I have only stitch a bit on my piece. I completed 5 more motifs. I have been side tracked with a couple SAL. Managing to keep up on the Randje per Week. We have reached the half way point. Still love all the different styles of alphabets and numbers. I also joined another SAL. It is a Quaker Patchwork. It is a closed group so can't show it till I am done. You have to send a picture of your piece to receive the next installment. I am on page 4.
July looks to be a busy month too. Hoping I can tear myself away from the SAL and get a few more motifs done while watching the KC Royals.
Keep Stitching!

Love Update- June progress
Hi everyone and I hope those of us in the States had a good 4th of July. I finished another page last month (bottom left). There are now another 3 pages to go, plus my personalization section, and the bottom border.
I've sketched out my personalization in the margins of my chart: our names, "united in marriage" and wedding date; I'm also planning to add a rose motif. Though, I need some graph paper so I can figure out the proper spacing. No rush on that since I need to finish pages 11-12 first. Happy stitching everyone!

Progress :)
Hi guys I'm back! I'm about 75% done with Paradise with 12 pages left. 6 of those are full pages. I'm doing these 3 pages a tad different and I'm doing all 3 together.
But here's the pics :)

This time:
So as you can see I finished 2 1/2 pages this month and am well on my way in the next section!
I'm really hoping I can get these 3 pages done this month. Wish me luck thanks for stopping by!

Love with a Capital L April-May progress
Hi everyone. It's been awhile! The frog visited in April. The thread I bought for the big capital L, Silk n' Colors "Turkey Feathers" did not work out.
Previously:
Currently:
You can see the faint remains of the frogged stitches. I was so upset after frogging, I had to set it aside. But I did take it out a week later and stitched a new page. Then, in May, I worked on it again. I also spent some time charting a new section for the bottom, with my wedding details.
Honestly I'm at my wit's end with that capital L. I want a variegated thread with the colors in the piece (dark red, orange, gold). If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Or I could just stitch it it with the crimson.

Holiday Blew By!
Wow how is it June?! I meant to post yesterday but between work, Disneyland, a movie and a long drive home it didn't happen :D.
Not much progress on paradise (yet again) but this time it was because I stitched a page of another design for the HAED challenge so I did actually finish almost two pages. But last time I was here:
Now I'm here:
Actually a tad farther but didn't get a pic. The end of the page is where the blue starts so I have about 3/4 done. See you next time with hopefully more progress!
